“Dear young people, do not be afraid to share with others the hope and joy of the risen Christ! Nurture the spark that has been kindled in you, but at the same time share it. You will come to realize that it grows by being given away!”
Pope Francis, Message for 2023 World Youth Day
Faith formation is a lifelong process, through which we build a relationship with Jesus Christ. By beginning in childhood, Catholics nurture this relationship through catechesis, participation in the liturgy, and reception of the sacraments. At the Parish of the Resurrection, children and their families have the opportunity to inform and grow in their faith in a variety of ways.
Faith Formation at Resurrection is separated into two formats based on age. In addition to our monthly Family Mass and Young Adult Mass, students have the opportunity to enroll in the following programs:
+ Family Program: for Grades K - 5
+ Youth Group: for Grades 6 - 8, 9 - 12
Our Catholic tradition has always acknowledged the central role of parents in the formation of their children's faith. In support of our parish mission, our program will help families of children of all ages to:
+ come to know and love Jesus;
+ celebrate and worship Jesus;
+ live out our discipleship in Jesus;
+ serve and love one another as Jesus has loved us.
