Greetings from Faith Formation! We’ve had quite the chilly winter this year, so what better time to look forward to those warmer months? We’re so excited to be offering a variety of programs at Resurrection this summer for kids of all ages. Read on to learn more!
Summer With The Saints
All children of the parish in grades K through 5 are invited to join in for Summer With The Saints. Modeled loosely off of the Diocesan Cathedral’s program of the same name, this faith-based adventure is spread out through July and August. We’ll gather weekly for learning, activities, and fun, themed around a different saint each session.
Families will be welcome to sign up for as many Summer With The Saints sessions as they’d like, up to all five, according to their schedules. Teens, college students, and parents interested in helping out are invited to join us as volunteers.
Summer With The Saints will meet in the mid-to-late morning on the following dates.
Tuesday, July 8 (Saint Benedict)
Thursday, July 17 (Saint Kateri Tekakwitha)
Tuesday, July 22 (Saint Mary Magdalene)
Thursday, July 31 (Saint Ignatius of Loyola)
Tuesday, August 5 (Saint Dominic)
Steubenville East - Catholic Youth Conference
Our high school students are invited to a weekend in Springfield, MA for the annual Steubenville youth conference, hosted by Catholic youth ministry organization LifeTeen. This weekend is an opportunity for fellowship with other Catholic teens and powerful spiritual transformation. Click here to learn more about Steubenville.
To travel to Steubenville, we’ll be teaming up with the youth group members and ministry team from another local parish. Resurrection teens will fundraise and prepare for the conference by engaging our parish community this spring. The conference will take place over the weekend of July 24-26, 2025.
All teens interested in attending Steubenville should reach out to Madison ([email protected]) ASAP.
Hillfest
We’re also hoping to host a parish trip to Hillfest, an outdoor Christian concert in nearby New Ipswich. Hillfest is a one-day festival on July 19, 2025 and is open to all ages.
Other Summer Happenings
Faith Formation will offer a summer First Reconciliation session for students entering grades 3 and up. More information on this will be available this spring.
Toddlers will be welcomed to several summer Bible storytime programs after Sunday Mass throughout the summer.
Family Mass (first Sunday of the month at 10:30) will continue year-round, as will our monthly Youth Group meetings.
We can’t wait to host a summer full of fun for our parish youth at Resurrection. Registration for all the above programs will open in the spring. See you there!
